Medicare for All

  • Improve and expand Medicare for All, with no co-pays or premiums, including free vision care, hearing aids, dental, and prescriptions.

U.S. Energy Independence

  • We must invest in safe renewable energy projects, such as solar, wind, and utility-scale batteries, the cheapest and most environmentally friendly options for energy.
  • Ban LNG exports, which pollute locally and globally.
  • Mandate the fossil fuel industry clean up their toxic environmental messes, including addressing flaring, produced water and abandoned wells.

Surviving Texas Heat

  • Have you noticed our summers are getting hotter, and our winters don’t cool down like they used to? The earth is overheating like a greenhouse due to global warming. We in the Valley feel the heat more than most, it impacts anyone who works outside, and hurts our farmers and our water supply. We need to face this reality and take bold action before it is too late. 

Protect Our Land and Water

  • Fracking and toxic drilling water runoff in west Texas can flow down the Pecos Rover, Lake Amistad, and the Rio Grande to reach us here in the Valley. To protect our drinking water and our farms, we must ban fracking and other dangerous forms of oil and gas extraction. The Valley can once again become an agricultural powerhouse, because of the quality of our soil and the irrigation options. 
  • We can localize our energy, food, and water, giving the Valley independence and strength – the best solution for affordability. 
  • Improve drainage and flood control.
